Dog Exercise Needs Calculator

Calculates your dog's daily minimum exercise time based on breed size, age, and energy level. Insufficient exercise is the most common cause of behavioral problems.

Types of exercise and their effects

Leash walk
A basic requirement. It has a slow pace, but it's very valuable for the dog to sniff and explore its surroundings. 40-60% of the total time.
Free play / ball
Aerobic effect. Quality fatigue in a short time. Safe, fenced area, leash off.Aerobic effect. Quality fatigue in a short time. Off-leash in a secure, fenced area.
Swimming

Mental stimulation
Sniff walks, puzzle toys, and basic command training. 10 minutes of mental stimulation is equivalent to 30 minutes of physical exercise.
